Portrait study

Get a reference and try to reconstruct what you are seeing. Don’t just blindly copy. Here are some examples:

Perspective study

I have already linked each perspective day with a video, but you can always take the perspective studies a step further and turn your objects into an illustration or study another artists’ perspective piece:

Environment study

Similar to portrait studies, get a reference and construct what you’re seeing. Take note of the perspective and other elements.

Clothing study

Similar to portrait and environment studies, get a references and study at least 1 article of clothing. Here are some videos to help you understand fabric physics:

Hands and feet study

Similar to the other study types, find some references to practice construction the hands and/or feet. Here are some resources to get you started:

Every 10 days is Finish/Improve Day

• remember that it should be earlier work from this event

Color Challenges

• only the color(s) asked for may be used and accepted in the art

Design Challenges

• “an arrangement of lines or shapes created to form a pattern or decoration”

Fashion Challenges

• mainly focuses on outfits

Genderbend Challenges

• as the name implies, change a character from its original gender to another

DTIYS Challenges

• abbreviation for ‘Draw This in Your Style’

Medium Challenges

• stay true to the medium that was asked for

Personified Challenges

• turn what we asked for into a human

Study Challenges

• focus study on the subject
• example, example, example

Style Challenges

• draw a character in the given style theme
• example -Gravity Fall style, example -video

Spirit Challenges

• spirit passes are granted upon completion
• some challenges will span multiple days:
  • on multi day challenges, on day 1, you will draw something following the spirit challenge prompt
  • on day 2, you will take someone else’s drawing and either add to it or modify it
  • you must participate in both days to be granted a spirit pass
• it is a standalone theme
• you cannot make up a spirit challenge later for a spirit pass. You have to participate the day(s) of to get a pass

Music Challenges

• draw how a song makes you feel, what it makes you think of, what you liked from it, etc.
